Burn Bright Partners With Schools Across Australia and New Zealand
MIND SHIFTING IMPACT
Burn Bright is a not-for-profit organisation that delivers meaningful and dynamic student leadership, wellbeing programs and camps Australia-wide.
Since 2014, we have delivered to over 45,000 students across 200 schools nationwide through programs, leadership camps and community partnerships. Our leadership programs educate students through the lens of servant leadership and that to lead others purposefully, they must first learn to lead themselves.
The acquired leadership behaviours, wellbeing habits and character traits help build meaningful, healthy and positive long-lasting skills and friendships that will continue beyond the school years. In short, Burn Bright provides the fuel and the spark that ignites the potential within every student, leading to enhanced self-efficacy and a heightened sense of personal wellbeing.
Burn Bright exists to help young people to look after their mental health and wellbeing in a proactive and preventative way. We do this through using a range of positive evidence-based strategies that help young people to take charge of their lives.
After Working With Burn Bright Students Show:
Our wellbeing results are measured independently by Assessing Wellbeing In Education.
INSPIRATIONAL TEAM LEADERSHIP
All Burn Bright programs have a minimum of two leaders irrespective of the size of the group, allowing them cater to the personalities and learning styles of all students.
Every Burn Bright Leader is a strong communicator. When they talk to students, our Leaders use real stories and life experiences that build credibility, rapport and a sense of a shared understanding.
Through the inspiring and positive personal stories and experiences of the Burn Bright Leaders, students are more open to embracing the lessons of leadership and wellbeing in their daily lives and futures.
Our programs and camps have such an inspiring effect and relevance, that many students decide to return to Burn Bright post their secondary schooling to ‘pay back’ and become Mentors to the next generation of leaders.
EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING
Burn Bright’s curriculum is focused on demonstrating how students can turn theory into action by practicing and road testing skills learnt before applying them in their own lives. To reinforce this, we provide follow-up opportunities to encourage students to make the change last.
Students leave our leadership programs understanding what it takes to become a servant leader, how to use their influence well and importantly, how to incorporate proven leadership qualities into their own daily lives.
Our wellbeing programs are specifically designed to enable young people to build a solid foundation of character and values to ignite their lives with the possibility of the future. These programs are a dynamic and engaging way to learn about oneself and the people around them.
Our experiential programs promote the prevention of mental illness, specifically depression and anxiety. Our programs develop the protective factors that support young peoples mental health which can prevent anxiety and depression.
There is no ‘one size, fits all’ approach, each and every Burn Bright program is highly focused, tailored and adapted to needs of the student and the school.
